Tesla Paint Protection Specialists
Tesla PPF
SunTek-certified paint protection for Model 3, Model Y, Model S & Model X
Why Every Tesla Needs PPF
Tesla vehicles use a single-stage water-based paint system that is notoriously thin and soft compared to traditional automotive finishes. This means Tesla paintwork is significantly more susceptible to stone chips, scratches, and swirl marks from everyday driving and even routine washing.
This is not a design flaw — it is an intentional part of Tesla's environmentally conscious manufacturing process. However, it means that paint protection film is not a luxury for Tesla owners; it is essential if you want to preserve the appearance and resale value of your vehicle.
At Dainton's, we have protected hundreds of Tesla vehicles across the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X range. Our SunTek PPF Ultra and PPF Ultra Matte films provide invisible, self-healing protection that keeps your Tesla looking factory-fresh for years.

PPF Packages by Tesla Model
Tailored coverage options for every Tesla in the range
Tesla Model 3
The UK's best-selling Tesla requires targeted protection, particularly across the bonnet, front bumper, and A-pillars where stone chip damage is most prevalent. The Model 3's low nose and aerodynamic profile make the front end especially vulnerable on motorways.
- Full Front PPF
- Full Body PPF
- Ultra Matte Full Body
Tesla Model Y
The Model Y's larger front profile and SUV stance increase the surface area exposed to road debris. We recommend extended coverage across the bonnet, bumper, wings, rocker panels, and rear wheel arches where gravel and standing water cause the most damage.
- Full Front PPF
- Full Body PPF
- Ultra Matte Full Body
Tesla Model S
As Tesla's premium saloon, the Model S warrants comprehensive protection. The long bonnet and flowing side panels are particularly susceptible to damage, and the higher value of the vehicle makes full body PPF a sound investment for protecting resale value.
- Full Front PPF
- Full Body PPF
- Ultra Matte Full Body
Tesla Model X
The Model X's falcon wing doors and large glass surface areas require specialist attention during PPF installation. Our experience with the Model X ensures precise coverage around the complex door mechanisms and panoramic windscreen edges.

- Full Body PPF
- Ultra Matte Full Body

- Window Tinting — Reduce heat, UV, and glare while improving privacy and aesthetics
Tesla PPF — Frequently Asked Questions
It is not bad — it is different. Tesla uses a water-based single-stage paint process that is thinner and softer than traditional multi-stage automotive paint. This makes it more environmentally friendly but also more susceptible to stone chips and scratches. PPF is the most effective way to protect it.
Ideally, yes. The sooner you apply PPF, the less existing damage there will be to contend with. Many Tesla owners have their vehicle delivered directly to our studio or bring it in within the first week of ownership. If you already have some miles on the clock, we can perform paint correction before applying PPF to restore the finish first.
SunTek PPF Ultra is a gloss-finish film that is virtually invisible once applied. SunTek PPF Ultra Matte converts any colour to a satin or matte finish, which is particularly popular on white, grey, and black Teslas. Both films offer identical self-healing stone chip protection and come with a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
Full front PPF typically takes 1-2 days. Full body PPF takes 3-5 working days depending on the model. Your Tesla stays in our controlled studio throughout, and we keep you informed at every stage. We can arrange a courtesy vehicle or collection and delivery if needed.
No. SunTek PPF Ultra is optically clear and does not interfere with Tesla's Autopilot cameras, parking sensors, or other driver assistance systems. We take particular care around sensor locations during installation.
As the Cybertruck becomes available in the UK, we will be ready to offer tailored PPF solutions. The stainless steel panels present unique protection requirements, and we will update our Tesla packages accordingly. Contact us for the latest information.
